ABOUT
Victoria Cherie is the working name of Victoria McLean, a self-taught artist known for her hand painted children’s shoes.
She began painting in 2019 as a way to earn supplemental income after becoming a single mother. After the loss of her brother, the work took on a different meaning, and she began giving painted shoes away in his honor.
Her work explores childhood, memory, nostalgia, and the small objects that carry our stories forward.
